The Kolberg lighthouse was rebuilt after the Second World War – i.e. after 1945. It stands on the right bank of the Persante river on the remains of Fort Münde, which was part of the Kolberg fortress. Its predecessor, a pilot house with a lighthouse, was destroyed at the end of the Second World War. The lighthouse is 90 meters high and has a surrounding gallery that is open to visitors. Its interior houses the Mineral Museum (Muzeum minerałów) and a restaurant. So we were inside the castle...and I couldn't stop myself from seeing it...an absolute MUST for fans of lost places. Simply amazing...and the fact that the ghost is supposedly still haunting the place made it all the more amazing...

The narrow-gauge railway in Niechorze, known as the Seaside Narrow-Gauge Railway, is a tourist attraction connecting towns on the Rewal coast, such as Gryfice, Trzęsacz, Rewal and Niechorze. The train runs on 1000 mm wide tracks and offers a retro-style journey, perfect for a break from cycling. The stations are adapted to tourists, and bicycles can be transported, which makes it easy to combine train travel with cycling trips. In the summer season, it is worth checking the timetable in advance, because trains can be popular with families with children and cyclists.
