Pt47-1 is the oldest locomotive and the only steam locomotive preserved in Łódź. The red wheels combined with the pistons are a picturesque element enriching the exhibit. The steam locomotive in the given series was manufactured in 1948 and worked for many years in the Łódź Kaliska Locomotive Depot. Already an exhibit, it stands in front of a semaphore showing that it has a clear path ahead of it, but it will not perform any more steam puffs. The steam locomotive from 1948 from the Locomotive Factory in Chrzanów was extinguished in 1989, after which it became a monument in the Łódź Kaliska Locomotive Depot.

Most of those buried here fell during the so-called Łódź Operation, which took place between the German and Russian armies in the period from November to December 1914. Most of them are victims of fighting in the immediate vicinity of Wiączyń, as well as Olechów, Janów, Nowosolna, Dąbrowa, Bedoń and Feliksin. Soldiers who fell in the area during other periods of the Great War are also buried here. According to estimates, about 9 thousand soldiers are buried in the cemetery. Among them are Poles conscripted into the Russian or German army.
