The "forest memorial" was built in the GDR era at the end of POS Lampertswalde and inaugurated on 28.10.1968. At that time the stone was smaller. On a metal plate was to read "The victims of World War II admonish to peace and friendship". The school used the memorial for various occasions. The tradition here was the inclusion of the first graders in the pioneer organization. Here the "Blue scarves" were handed over. Probably in 1985 the current stone was erected. The then inscription ... "THE LIBERATION OF OUR HOME FROM FASCISM AND WAR IN HONORARY REMARKS". In a mysterious way, three lines of the text disappeared in the turning point. Today you can still read ... "OUR HOMESHIP IN HONORARY REMEMBRANCE". If you take a closer look, you can still see the complete text. More information can be found on the side of SV Lampertswalde under the menu item Raschütz.
