Tips from the Community

The beautifully shady forest path from Müggelseeperle to just before Müggelhort offers several access points to the water, but only a few spots that are truly suitable for swimming. It's clear that the quality of the water improves towards Kleiner Müggelsee (i.e., to the east). There are also lovely resting areas. You can see cormorants, but only in the distance. Kleiner Müggelsee is also definitely worth a visit. It has a great beach with plenty of sand and sun! There are also quieter spots, but due to the adjacent forest, they're all in the shade.

The perfect stop on a hiking or cycling tour around Lake Müggelsee.

Müggelsee is Berlin's largest lake in terms of area and a popular tourist destination. From Müggelpark in Friedrichshagen you have a beautiful view of the sailing boats on the lake, the Müggelberge on the other side and you can stop off at two beer gardens...

Unfortunately, it's becoming increasingly rotten. Apartments and commercial space are to be built by 2026. We'll see. There are enough world champions of announcements.

The mermaid is such a hottie. I proposed to her but she didn't respond.
