The privately inhabited Neuglück house is very well maintained and is picturesquely situated in the landscape. It combines German and French wall decorations.

From below the serpentines are a little slow on the bike, but with a smile on your face and looking forward to a coffee, then you can manage this incline :D

Our tree wine press comes from the neighboring hamlet of Ahrenbach. The Weinfest community acquired it in 1999 and donated it to the local history and tourism association. The Baumpresster, now a real attraction, is located on our wine hiking trail between the wine museum and the small vineyard on the southern city wall. The ensemble is reminiscent of wine growing on the Sieg for more than a thousand years. The HVV had the tree press restored and installed it in 2002 with the support of the Rhein-Sieg district. In the winter of 2006, the HVV commissioned the Institute for Prehistory and Protohistory at the University of Cologne to determine the age of the wine press. The dendrochronological report, in which the annual rings of the wood are determined, produced a very astonishing result. Dr. Burghart Schmidt, who carried out the investigation, consistently dates the felling date of the trees to 1618. The wine press was probably built in 1619/20. This is simply a great view of the Siegtal. And especially for railway fans when a red S-Bahn or a red RE9 passes through. By the way, a photo of this view can also be seen in the Wikipedia article about the Cologne S-Bahn: https://de.wikipedia.org/wiki/S-Bahn_K%C3%B6ln
