Church of St. Philip and St. James It was built in the 14th century as a three-aisled basilica. Over the years, it has been repeatedly renovated and lavishly furnished. The church of Novi is a bishop's church. The year 1520 is carved into the southern outer wall in a combination of Arabic, Roman, and Glagolitic numerals. Three bishops, Kristofor Dubrovčanin, Ivan (= "John the Baptist") Kabalin, Ivan (= "John the Baptist") Ježić, and Canon Stjepan Mrzljak, are buried in the church.
