In Cigoc, excursions are organised that explain why the specific houses were built in this way, why the village attracts so many storks and the usefulness of the flood plain.

Čigoč is a small village with just over 100 inhabitants, in the central part of Croatia, in the Lonjsko Polje nature reserve. The village is known as the Stork Village of Croatia and was even the first official Stork Village in Europe.

"Old bridge" is a beautiful stone/bricks bridge over Kupa. It has been recently restored after being slightly damaged in the earthquake. Nice form and beautiful colour. Allegedly the "most beautiful bridge in Croatia". The bridge itself isn't all that new - it was only built 1925-1934 to replace the old wooden bridge, but the people of Sisak are very proud of it. Several models of this bridge exist in the city, including the one in the nearby park (see photo).
