Ljubirna is one of the highest points on Mount Mosor, the long ridge of peaks that rises to the east of Split. It's a fairly strenuous ascent from Dom Umberto Girometta, the mountain hut at the foot of the climb. However, it's worth it for the glorious panorama from the top. The view along the ridge from the summit is dominated by the peak of Veliki Kabal, Mosor's highest point, backed by the prominent peak of Sveti Jure.

Veliki Kabal, at 4,393 feet (1339 m), is the highest summit on the Mosor massif that dominates the landscape between Split and Omiš. As with many of the high summits in the Dinaric Alps, it offers stupendous views down to the Adriatic Sea, as well as of Split and along the Mosor Ridge. There are two mountain huts in the area: the Dom Umberto Girometta and the Planinarsko sklonište Kontejner.
