The Church of St. Mary Magdalene in Sowno (Stargard district, Stargard municipality) is a historic, neo-Gothic chapel built of red brick in 1889. The object belongs to the Parish of Our Lady Queen of the Polish Crown in Przemoczu. The church hides in its interior extremely valuable monuments with a unique history associated with the Gryfici, i.e. the Pomeranian dukes. The church houses a richly carved, Renaissance wooden altar and a pulpit from 1554–1561. They were commissioned by Duke Barnim XI for the chapel of the Oderburg residence in Szczecin-Grabowo. They ended up in Sowno after numerous relocations, including through the ducal hunting lodge Friedrichswalde and the Collegiate Church of the Blessed Virgin Mary Queen of the World in Stargard.

The main church in this town is the Roman Catholic Church of Our Lady, Helper of Christians in Stare Czarnowo. It serves as the parish church for the local parish of Stare Czarnowo, belonging to the Kolbacz deanery in the Archdiocese of Szczecin-Kamień. The first church at this site, along with a cemetery, was erected at the end of the 12th century. The temple was completely destroyed by fire in 1531, after which it was rebuilt in the 16th century. The current architectural shape was given to the building during a thorough reconstruction in 1826, when it acquired a neo-Gothic style. It is a brick building on a rectangular plan with a pentagonal presbytery and a characteristic, slender, two-story wooden tower on the west side. The temple is entered in the register of monuments (reg. no. A-144 of December 8, 2003). In recent years, the facility has received government grants for necessary renovation works.
