In 1813, the French army, under the command of Jacques MacDonald, had its headquarters at this farmstead in Krajów. It's definitely worth walking up to the house and looking at the entrance portal, which bears a lengthy German inscription. And even on the back are gravestones of two women who once lived here. While you're near the building, you might be approached by other residents. Knowledge of Polish or a translation app would be helpful.

Interesting mining activity right next to the road. Haloicyte is mined here. This mineral is a product of the chemical weathering of basalt and is extremely rare. The deposit here in Dunino is said to be one of the world's largest.

The building is so small that you'd hardly think it's a museum. It's not really a museum in the traditional sense. It's more about information than a wealth of exhibits. However, the museum is usually locked. The key can be picked up from the municipal office. The museum commemorates the battle scenes of August 26, 1813, when the French troops were brutally and devastatingly defeated by the Prussian troops. The small area surrounding the museum is also ideal for a rest. You can sit comfortably among the monuments, and the trees at the entrance provide shelter from light rain.

Already PLN 15. Raising admission prices, as seen in the example above, has begun in earnest. I wonder where the pain limit will be for visitors.
