This well was discovered during the first stage of the revitalization of the Oława Market Square in 2019. Archaeologists examined it at that time. After pumping out the water, it turned out that the well was seven meters deep and was built of crushed stone. It is also interesting that its lower, ground-level part was covered with oak boards connected with wooden pegs, and the upper part, located right at the surface, was built over with brick in the 19th century. Its oldest wooden and stone structure dates back to the 16th-17th centuries. Interestingly, only a few artifacts in the form of fragments of animal bones and clay vessels were recovered from the bottom filled with sand. It is possible that such a small concentration of finds may be dictated by the fact that it was cleaned and re-adapted at the turn of the 19th and 20th centuries.

The brewery consisted of three production buildings from 1880, 1911 and 1915. There was also a brick boiler house from 1880, an entrance gate from the late 19th century and a wall surrounding the whole building from around 1880. The most famous owner of this brewery was Robert Jaeckel. After his death, his widow Marta Jaeckel née Hermann founded a joint stock company in 1907 called "Robert Jaeckel Lagerbierbrauerei AG". In 1928, the brewery was taken over by the Schultheiss concern in Berlin and closed in 1936. The links between this brewery and the Schultheiss concern were earlier. In the 1920s, the supervisory board of the joint-stock company "Robert Jaeckel Lagerbierbrauerei AG" included such personalities as Siegfried Haendler, the former owner of the brewery in Zabrze taken over by Schultheiss, and Eduard Haase, the owner of the largest brewery in Wrocław, in which Schultheiss had major shares. Since 1945, it remains as a ruin. https://fotopolska.eu/22973,object.html?map_z=19
