From the outside, like an old brick church. Large, massive, monumental, overwhelming in size and grayness. But the interior, colorful and cheerful. A very pleasant atmosphere of this interior.

The parish was established by Bishop Zdzisław Goliński on 5.11.1951. However, independent pastoral care in the form of a so-called branch was established here on 30.01.1946 by Bishop Teodor Kubina. The local community established a Building Committee, which undertook the work of building the church in the years 1935-1937. The church was consecrated on 30.05.1937 by Father Ludwik Muszyński, Dean of Gorzkowice. Pastoral care was initially provided by priests commuting from Bogdanów, and from 1941 a priest permanently resided in Wola Krzysztoporska. Thanks to the efforts of Father Jan Brachowski, the branch and first parish priest, two side chapels were added to the church in 1960, and in 1969 a vestry and a second sacristy were added. In June 1994, on the initiative of Father Janusz Chylewski, another expansion was undertaken, two side naves, a tower, a choir and a porch were added, increasing the usable area by 100 m2, and the following year the presbytery was modernized. The ceremonial consecration of the restored church was performed by Archbishop Stanisław Nowak on 15.12.1996. On the parish premises there is also a cemetery chapel, founded in 1978 by a family from Wygoda.

A dam reservoir on the Luciąża River, the second largest reservoir in Piotrków County with a water surface area of 217 ha and a capacity of 7.34 million m³. Located in Piotrków County in the communes of Łęki Szlacheckie (70% of the coastline), Rozprza and Gorzkowice. In the 1960s, a comprehensive plan for irrigation and meadow management in the Luciąża River valley was developed. Its construction began in 1986 and it was put into service in 1998. During construction, the inhabitants of the villages of Kuźnica Żerechowska, Łęgoń, Wygoda, Trzciniec and Borowiec were relocated, after which a chapel protruding from the water surface remained. The purpose of the reservoir was from the beginning to irrigate meadows for milk production and to serve as a water retention facility. Currently, it is a popular place of recreation and relaxation in Piotrków County. It is also appreciated by anglers who catch pike, crucian carp, roach, carp, bream and many other species of fish. The maximum depth of water near the dam is 12 meters. In the reservoir, during the season, water equipment rentals are available: boats, kayaks, water bikes. There are numerous camping sites and camping houses around the reservoir.

As part of the institute's activities, several foreign expeditions were organized, including to Sweden. The aim of this expedition was to conduct preliminary searches and digitize Polish (including Piotrków) archival materials taken away by the Swedes in the 16th-18th centuries.

In the vicinity of the square, settlements probably existed even before Piotrków was founded in the 13th century. The square in its present form was created after a fire in 1819 on the site of the former Krótka and Żydowska Streets. For this purpose, the old buildings standing there were removed. In the past, the square had various names, including: Nowy Rynek, Mały Rynek, Maślany Rynek, Plac Mikołajewski. In 2011, the square was rebuilt. The Piotrków branch of the PTTK is located in a richly decorated tenement house at pl. Czarnieckiego 10, which also borders Rynek Trybunalski.
