Mikołaj Nieczaj (1818-1863) – a doctor from Dubienka. An officer in the January Uprising, he fought for an independent Poland. He commanded a strong, 400-man insurgent unit operating near Krasnystaw. Sentenced to death, he was shot in Krasnystaw on March 19, 1863. The execution site was demolished by the Tsarist army with cannons to erase all traces of the death of this hero of the Polish and Ukrainian nations. Mikołaj Nieczaj was shot on what is now Rejowiecka Street in Krasnystaw, where, 100 years after the event, the town's residents erected a memorial stone bearing the inscription: "Here, on March 19, 1863, an officer of the January Uprising, doctor Mikołaj Nieczaj, was shot. On the centenary of the hero's death, the community of Krasnystaw." Source: https://pl.wikipedia.org/wiki/Mikołaj_Nieczaj

Krasnystaw. Church of St. Francis Ksawery designed by Jan Delamars, built at the turn of the 17th and 18th centuries. Recently, during renovation works, rich decorations on the front façade were discovered. The polychromes were uncovered and restored.
