One of the oldest monuments in the city. The church was built in the early Gothic style in around 1290, right after the city was founded. Originally, it did not have a separate presbytery, it was added in 1489. In 1621, a tower was built, in which church bells were placed. The tower was topped with a Baroque spire with a lantern. In 1526, a clock was installed on the tower.
