The center of Grybów is quite nicely kept. The impression is spoiled by the country road running through the center of the city.

Wooden churches always impress me. This one—apparently a typical Lemko church (they had good taste!)—dates back to the early 19th century and is an Orthodox church. It's not on the Main Beskid Trail itself, but almost there, so it's worth the detour.

Church of St. Michael. Building from the 18th century. The whole is surrounded by a wall. Next to it is a baroque chapel and a brick belfry.

Pride of Szalowa - a wooden church from the 1730s. It is worth noting that at the time of its foundation, Augustus III of Saxony, the penultimate king of Poland, began his rule and the hussars were still a significant force in the Polish army. Inventions such as the steam engine, the telephone or even the light bulb were not yet known - the pinnacle of modernity at that time was the mercury thermometer invented a few years earlier.

The first church was built in this place in 1629, and the current one was built in its place in the 18th century and thoroughly rebuilt in 1871. Until 1947 and the displacement of the inhabitants, it was a Greek Catholic church, and in the years 1947-1958 a Catholic church. Due to the poor condition of the building, a decision was made to demolish it, but it was saved. This was thanks to several previously displaced families who returned to Hańczowa and renovated the church for the needs of the Orthodox parish established in 1958. In later years, the church was renovated several more times. The area of the church is surrounded by a wooden fence with gates from the 19th century. A granite cross was placed in 1988 to commemorate the millennium of the baptism of Ruthenia. A bronze plaque dedicated to the Lemkos expelled in 1947 hangs on the wall of the church.

The church was built in the second half of the 17th century. The date of construction is often given as 1700. The tower was added in 1743. This date was found on one of the beams of the structure. However, it may only refer to the renovation of the older tower. It is the oldest probably dated tower of the Lemko church. After Operation Vistula in 1947, the temple began to be used as a Roman Catholic church, belonging to the parish in Uście Gorlickie. Currently, it is shared between Roman Catholics and Greek Catholics.

The parish church of St. Catherine and St. Nicholas survived until the end of the 19th century. Then it turned out to be insufficient, and the river stone from which it was built caused its dampness. In the spring of 1908, the construction of a new church began in its place. In 1909, the foundations were laid, and the cornerstone was consecrated the following year. The construction works were carried out by Roman Olszewski, implementing the project of the Warsaw architect Józef Pius Dziekoński. Later, work on the church was carried out by the then Vice-Rector of the Warsaw University of Technology, Zdzisław Mączeński. The church was erected in the neo-gothic style of brick with the use of stone. On November 25, 1913, the bishop of Tarnów, Ignacy Maciejowski, made a temporary consecration of the still unfinished building. The outbreak of World War I prevented further construction. It was only in November 1918 that the top of the tower was finished and the church was covered with copper sheet.
