Modest Humiecki was born in 1842 and was the son of the parish priest of Rzepnik. After completing his medical studies, he settled in Krosno, where he ran a medical practice. He also wrote articles and professional books. He gained great recognition for his fight against the cholera epidemic that spread in the years 1872-73. He served as mayor of Krosno in the years 1883-87. His achievements included paving the main streets of Krosno, laying sidewalks, and generally improving sanitary conditions in the city. Modest was friends with Ignacy Łukasiewicz. As a man of almost 40, he married his pupil Walentyna Antoniewicz, who died at the age of 26 in 1883. They had only one child - Ivan (Jan). He was the owner of Rzepnik. He provided material assistance to the village and supported social initiatives. He stayed here only in the summer, in a house that served as a place of rest for the whole family. He was not very good at managing the farm. His professional and social work absorbed him completely, so a few years before his death he divided the land and sold it. He died in 1899 and was buried in the very center of the former cholera cemetery.

The surface in the area is very full of holes, from the side of Pietrusza Wola it is a short section, from Rzepnik the entire downhill ride is unpleasant on the road

The arcades existing under many buildings surrounding the Krosno market square are not only a decoration, but can also serve as a shelter from rain, hail, or from the sun on hot summer days.
