June 23, 2025, Church of the Resurrection, Białystok

The Church of the Resurrection of Christ in Białystok is a relatively new, but important for the local Orthodox community, church, built in the Leśna Dolina housing estate. Built in the 1990s, its architecture refers to the traditions of Old Russian and Novgorod as well as Podlasie sacral architecture. It is distinguished by its central interior plan and characteristic domes. The church continues the tradition of the pre-war Cathedral of the Resurrection of Christ. The church is located on the Green Velo bicycle trail (connector 203).

Currently, the area around the monument is very well maintained, after the last reconstruction there is lighting, benches for rest, garbage cans and at the same time the artesian well located in the complex was renovated.

One of several "ferry" crossings of this type on the Waniewo-Śliwno footbridge. Exciting! Self-service. Look for a chain attached to the footbridge on one side and to the jetty on the other. Pull the jetty towards you and get on. Then use the second chain from the water side to pull the jetty to the other side. Definitely the biggest attraction of this place!

Beautiful place, good access and access. You can go with children. In spring the Narew is very flooded, and in summer it creates beautiful, winding, fast streams by the tower. Good views and far into the valley and the river itself. There are toilets nearby, there is also a shop and a shelter nearby.

Observation booth with benches. There is also a bin, so you should throw away the garbage where it belongs. A good place for bird watching.
