If you catch a nice day and it is not very busy, the short hike is an impressive experience - volcanism you can touch and smell. We were almost alone there and thought it was fantastic. It shouldn't rain though

The Prainha bathing area is located in Angra Bay and is part of the historic center of the World Heritage city of Angra. The main access is next to the Angra Marina commercial area and the access to the protective jetty. Access to the beach is possible via a staircase that runs along the wall that delimits it. Due to its proximity to hotels and being the only bathing area in the municipality with sand, it is a very popular place, ideal for families with children who always enjoy building in the sand and playing other games. The calm sea and the gentle slope of the underwater bottom allow even people with the greatest difficulties to enjoy a refreshing dip in the sea. There are several places nearby where you can buy a cool drink or even have something to eat.
