North of Praia da Areia Branca, a freshly paved road runs directly along the coast as an excellent alternative to the country road. At the height of Forte de Paimogo you have a breathtaking view of the ocean. As you walk around the fort, a road leads straight down to the beach.

This youth hostel is right by the sea. It has clean dormitories with shared showers. I was lucky to have a 4-bed room all to myself. Very friendly staff, I'm always happy to be there again. Breakfast is recommended
