This old paper mill, built on the banks of the Nabão River, in the parish of Asseiceira, was opened on 15 January 1900. It was one of the largest paper mills in the municipality of Tomar and in the country. In its heyday, it employed around a thousand people and its clients included Xerox and the Imprensa Nacional-Casa da Moeda. In October 1999, it was declared insolvent.

Beautiful and very nice place for a rest and/or refresh on the clear waters of the Zêzere river. On this place, near the margin, waters are calm and shallow, and you will be presented with a mat of small and colourful stones polished by the water.

It includes the Almorol Trail and the Constância Trail. This riverside route, much used by mountain bike lovers in the region, has been considerably improved with the construction of walkways, bridges and viewpoints that allow you to enjoy magnificent panoramic views over the Tagus River.
