There was already an Orthodox church in this place in the 16th century, but its appearance is not documented anywhere. In 1808, a new church was built, which after the displacement of the Lemko inhabitants of the village in 1947 stood abandoned until it finally burned down after being struck by lightning in 1953. Shortly afterwards, in 1957, a small Roman Catholic chapel was built, and in 1973 it was rebuilt into a church. From the old church, only the figure of the Virgin Mary and two crosses, once crowning the church domes, have survived. Behind the church there is a large cemetery with interesting stone and cast iron tombstones from the turn of the 19th and 20th centuries.
