In the east, Bela krajina with Metlika and Črnomelj is below us, and on the other side of the Kolpa, Croatia is already towards Karlovac; on the south side we see in the vicinity the Poljansko gorovje, behind it the mountains in Gorski Kotar with Klek and the peaks of Velika Kapela; to the west extends Kočevski Rog; in the north we see a part of Gorjanci with Trdinov vrh and Žumberak, and in front of it Smuk and Semenič, which rise above Semič.
