🌊 The Nims River The Nims is an idyllic river that flows through the Bitburg-Prüm district in the Eifel region: The Nims is an approximately 61 km long left tributary of the Prüm. It rises near Weinsheim and flows south, past towns such as Schönecken and Bitburg, before joining the Prüm below Irrel.

A truly beautiful crossing of the Nims River. The foundation is also stone, while the actual bridge structure is made of wood. A small fitness station is located near the footbridge as part of the Ritterdorf fitness trail.

Settlement above the Prüm that was finally abandoned in 1990 (https://de.wikipedia.org/wiki/Staudenhof_(Mauel)). Of most of the buildings, only the "outer shell" remains, the others are completely barricaded. Nevertheless, it is a special place that is worth a visit :)
