It's quite an impressive sight once you've climbed the hill from the parking lot and the view opens up to the dam and lake. The massive dam is particularly striking from the side. Unfortunately, despite several visits, we've never actually witnessed the spectacle of the lake overflowing. The views behind the dam are also interesting. Here you can watch the excursion boats departing. When the water level is low, passengers are taken down by elevator.
