Kornberg Castle The fortified castle was first mentioned in a document in 1284. 300 years ago it was converted into a residential palace and has been in the possession of the Counts of Bardeau since 1871. In addition to various events, Europe's largest carpet exhibition and the new exhibition "The small world of large castles", as well as the current special exhibition "The world of ships", can be visited in the Meierhof zu Schloss Kornberg (at the castle driveway). In the new planetarium, visitors can learn the latest about the universe, planets and stars. The lord of the castle, consul Mag. Andreas Graf von Bardeau, offers guided tours of the castle, during which he personally leads through the private rooms of the castle. Upon request, there is a subsequent champagne reception with a fireplace chat. Kornberg is also a popular wedding location, with a registry office and its own castle chapel. In addition to wedding celebrations, the castle host also offers an a la carte restaurant, knight's dinner in the knight's hall and various events.

The Way of the Cross, which was redesigned in 1998, is located on the old Kirchweg between Edelsbach and Wetzelsdorf. The fourteen stations lead from the Edelsbach parish church over a two-kilometer walk to the Dornhofer chapel. The contemporary Way of the Cross was designed by regional artists and children as well as mothers from Edelsbach and is therefore a special feature. It shows an exciting picture of the current interpretation of the Passion of Christ. Each station is designed differently. Both the expressiveness and the creative implementation are varied, of high artistic quality and give new views of the Way of the Cross. The path is signposted and with a Stations of the Cross guide, which is available in the church, it can be followed with a prayer service. Good footwear is recommended.
