From here, the view sweeps over Hainburg on the Danube, the wide river, and the extensive floodplain landscapes. On the opposite ridge, the viewing tower on the Keltenweg can also be seen, forming another striking point in this historically rich landscape. A panorama that uniquely combines nature, history, and distant views. 🌄🌊👀

From Braunsberg, you can enjoy one of the most beautiful views in the region. Deep below, the Danube winds through the landscape, while the view extends over Hainburg, the Danube floodplains, and all the way to the Little Carpathians. Especially in clear weather, the vastness of this panorama is impressive. 🌄🌊👀

This eh. Minoritenkloster has experienced many different uses. Today, a small, pleasant hotel is housed in it. The rooms are well-equipped, including with a kettle. The restaurant offers good food. The breakfast buffet is very rich. The prices are reasonably adequate. The bicycles are kept in a separate, locked room on the other side of the courtyard.

The Andreas Maurer Bridge is a striking structure for all those traveling on the Danube Cycle Path (R1). It is not only an important traffic artery but also a strategic point for cyclists in eastern Austria. The bridge spans the Danube near Bad Deutsch-Altenburg and connects the south bank (Bruck an der Leitha district) with the north bank (near Stopfenreuth, Gänserndorf district).

The Götzenturm (Idol Tower) is a medieval defensive tower on the city wall of Hainburg an der Donau, built in the 13th century as part of the city's fortifications. Often referred to today as the "Water Tower," the building originally had nothing to do with water supply – the name was erroneously coined by locals. The tower was part of the fortifications for the city's defense and, with its solid construction, small window openings, and elevated position, offers a good overview of the Danube and the surrounding area. For cyclists on the Danube Cycle Path or passing through Hainburg's old town, the Götzenturm is a striking landmark and an impressive relic from the time when Hainburg was one of Austria's most powerful fortress towns.
