Nice green area in the middle of the historic district. You can either walk or run through it.

Nice place to add to your route, you could go to the windmill island from here or the memorial district.

Van Bragt Park is named after the city of Holland's first parks superintendent Joh Van Bragt. It is a small, but well kept waterside park popular for fishing and walking along the waterfront trails. The classic style windmill is also main attraction.

Windmill Island and the Windmill Island Gardens are a Dutch-themed attraction with lots to see and do here. Visit the well-maintained Dutch-style windmill, known as "De Zwaan," which is the only authentic, working Dutch windmill in the United States. Explore beautiful gardens showcasing tulips, daffodils, and other vibrant flowers in the springtime. Marvel at Dutch-themed architecture, a carousel, and showcasing of traditional Dutch crafts. Windmill Island offers an interesting look into Dutch settlements and heritage in the United States.

The mill was built in 1791 and brought over from Vinkel, Noord Brabant, the Netherlands in 1964 and opened the following year. The mill still turns and is able to grind grain into flour. The mill reaches 125 feet from the ground to the top of the blades. The windmill is located in Windmill Island Gardens which is open daily from late April until early/mid October. https://cityofholland.com/535/De-Zwaan-Windmill

Great spot to freshen up (clean restrooms) and fill up on your hydration. While there relax on the grass. In 1902 Teunis TenHouten, a Dutch Immigrant, donated a rustic 20 foot fountain of rock, which was placed at this facility. The fountain was designed and built by Johannes Van Lente. Underground restrooms were added in 1904. In 1907 the bandstand was built on top of the restrooms. 1988 Mayor Philip Tanis directed a Buy-a-Brick campaign that paved the walks in this park. In 1991 the Holland Area Home Builders Association contributed a gazebo. Also, in 1991 the City of Holland installed Victorian lighting throughout the park to continue with the Victorian park theme of this facility. History Centennial Park was originally set aside as the village market area, but was redeveloped and dedicated to park use in 1876. This 5.6 acre park is located between 10th and 12th Streets and River and Central Avenues.
