St. Moritz is a beautiful man-made pond located on the eastern edge of Blue Hills Reservation. The pond was once a popular spot for competitive ice skaters, and hosted the annual St. Moritz Winter Carnival between 1929 and 1942, until the pond no longer froze over for such lengths of time.

As you run along this section of the Sawcut Notch Path, you will notice that it passes just below the northern edge of the park. Keep an eye out for the Great Dome and Little Dome. These domes have scoop-like imprints etched into their rock faces that are several centuries old. These markings were made by the Massachusett people, who used the rocks to create tools such as spears and adzes.
