Jerusalem Mill, at the outskirts of Kingsville, operated for about two centuries in the 18th and 19th century. Nowadays, it's the headquarter of the State Park and serves as a visitor center where you can learn everything about the historic place.

The Sweathouse Trail is a wide a singletrack with some technical roots and rocks. The trail follows the north side of Big Gunpowder Falls and Sweathouse Branch. The trail skirts right along the edge of the riverbank with scenic views of the water the whole way. You can hop across Sweathouse Branch on rocks in most places.

You can view the quarry from the top or from the bottom. From here you get great sweeping views off the ledge, and if you swing down below via the Little Gunpowder Trail you can look up to see its towering stone walls. The trail to this point from east is a little easier.

As the Little Gunpowder Falls is divided into two parts at this spot, there is a very little island in the middle of the two river sections. After a very short distance, the two parts reunite again to continue flowing through the park.
