Incredibly beautiful winter landscape (was there in February). But you should stay on the path, otherwise you'll sink knee-deep in snow ;)

The barbecue area is a bivouac area with everything your heart desires. Dry toilet (separately for men and women!), shelter, seating, fireplace, hut with firewood (with ax and shovel!) and a boardwalk to a water point about 50 m away. Everything is in good shape 👏 I think you can spend a quiet night here and not be disturbed by hikers.

Damp sections of the path are bridged by boardwalks. They were in good condition when I visited in July 2023 👏
