Wonderful view over Thessaloniki with a view towards Mount Olympus

The semi-open pavilion offers plenty of seating and at least some protection from the weather, but due to its hillside location it also offers a beautiful view of the adjacent dry valley (but unfortunately also some noise pollution from the nearby motorway).

Very difficult uphill route, but worth it for the view from Giannoula. (It is quite difficult to reach the top of Giannoula but the view is worth every penny).

The city walls of Thessaloniki were built by Kassandros shortly after the city was founded and were later reinforced by the Romans. However, according to my internet research, the walls that still exist today mostly date from the Byzantine period.

Defensive tower as part of the Ottoman fortifications around the medieval city with a view of the old town. From here you have a great view of the city.

The view over Thessaloniki from Syzathlos Park is nothing short of spectacular. Perched on the hillside, the park boasts a breathtaking panorama of the city, the Thermaic Gulf, and the surrounding landscapes. It's an ideal spot for taking in the city's skyline, especially during sunset when Thessaloniki is bathed in warm, golden hues.

Stunning views over Thessaloniki bay and the city. The tower can be visited for a small fee. There are several terraces nearby.
