A colorful eye-catcher in the middle of this colorful town. Unfortunately, it was closed when we were there.

Snogebæk isn't really a pretty place, but there are plenty of food stalls and good restaurants. There's also a delicious smokehouse.

The white and blue Dueodde Lighthouse on the southern tip of Bornholm, at 48 meters high, is the tallest lighthouse on the island. If you park your car at Dueodde's main parking lot, it's a short walk west along a small road to the lighthouse. Those willing to pay the 10 DKK entrance fee and climb the steep 196 steps will be rewarded with a magnificent view. To the south, at the foot of the tower, a vast landscape of dunes and heathland stretches out. This is followed by marram grass, the beach, and the Baltic Sea. In all other directions, the settlement of Dueodde lies beneath a sprawling pine forest, home to a hotel, holiday homes, a restaurant, a small boutique, and an ice cream stand serving Bornholm's most delicious soft serve. On a clear day, you can see as far north as Rytterknægten, Bornholm's highest point in the center of the island. The rather modern-looking tower was built between 1960 and 1962 and commissioned on August 15, 1962. In 1977, the lighthouse was converted to automatic operation. The light's height is 48.5 meters, and its range is 20.5 nautical miles. While hiking through the dunes, the tower offers a photo opportunity from many different perspectives. The Dueodde Lighthouse is one of Bornholm's most popular photo spots. https://www.bornholm-ferien.de/leuchttuerme-bornholm.php

Svaneke Lighthouse The Svaneke Lighthouse, inaugurated in 1920, stands on the Sandkås Odde peninsula south of the harbor on Bornholm's east coast. The square tower is 18 meters high and can be seen from afar thanks to its red roof. The lighthouse's height is stated as 20 meters, and its range is 19 nautical miles. The tower has been out of service since 2010. In 1947, like most of the towers on the island, it was electrified. Today, the lighthouse, including the lighthouse keeper's house, has been modernly restored and converted into a holiday home – a very special vacation accommodation. bornholm-ferien.de/leuchttuerme-bornholm.php

The most beautiful hiking trails, such as the yellow route, are here. For me, as a senior citizen with unsteady footing, good hiking poles are a must.
