Near the Rø lake, in the north of Bornholm, lies this beautiful plateau.

At Klemensker and Rø, in the northeast of Bornholm, lies the Spellinge Mose in a narrow rock crevice, a so-called Sprækkedal. Today's moor was mainly formed by peat extraction during both world wars. The stream Spellinge Å collects here and flows on towards Døndalen, where it forms Denmark's highest waterfall. Above the moor rises an elevation, on which Storeborg once stood, an Iron Age refuge castle. From up here, the view stretches far over the wetlands and the surrounding landscape.

It is certainly NOT a "sacrificial site"! They are called "Hestene" (horse stones). According to legend, a carriage carrying a bridal couple crashed here.

A very nice, quiet place to take a break. Several hiking trails pass by this spot. It's also possible to reach it by bike, but you have to expect to ride a lot on gravel.
