The striking sandstone monolith on Orleberg hill above Donsieders, situated on the Palatinate Forest Trail and the Panorama Trail, impresses with its 8-meter height and approximately 55-ton weight, making it visible from afar. It was donated by the former parish priest, Alfons Wilhelm. Comfortable seating areas and benches around this obelisk invite visitors to rest, linger, and unwind. This magical spot, nestled amidst fields and meadows, offers a magnificent view of the Sickinger Höhe region, and on a clear day, even as far as the Saarland. Sunsets here are particularly beautiful. The newly installed sundial is another highlight of this lovely location. Just a few meters away, an old wayside cross can also be seen, picturesquely situated beneath a group of trees. ] ... https://www.outdooractive.com/mobile/de/poi/pfalz/aussichtspunkt-und-rastplatz-sandstein-monolith/13353033/

The pilgrimage site of Maria Rosenberg is very well-known and offers seminars and retreats in its conference centers. A building for children and youth services, run by St. Josef in Landau-Queichheim, is also located here. I would like to mention that many years ago, during a visit to the church, I played the organ during a service.

The approximately 3 km long circular trail near Rodalben features seven panels highlighting the work of strong women from the Southwest Palatinate region – from fields such as social affairs, education, religion, and business. The trail was designed by the Southwest Palatinate Women's Forum in collaboration with schools, the Rodalben municipality, and other partners. Examples include the "Rodalber Grünesputsche" (Rodalber Green Putsche), smart market women with their own reputation, and Maria Anna Lickteig, whose emigration to the USA made the construction of the Maria Rosenberg pilgrimage church possible. The themed trail is located on the access road to the Palatinate Way of St. James and leads to the Hilschberghaus.
