Original function: This is not a traditional built lookout tower. It was originally a mining shaft hoisting mechanism (called a shaft tower), later converted into a lookout tower that is 30m high. It can be viewed for free. Vince Ranzinger was a significant figure in the area who initiated coal mining in the region. From the top, there is a wonderful view: including of the Vértes and Gerecse mountains.

Temporary, occupied spring, unfortunately with little water flow. Its surroundings once saw better times. Today it is run-down, it would deserve much more care. I see that it is also trying to emerge from the ground as a "collecting spring", because a minimal amount of water - in the form of a stream - is still visible.

A truly great place where everyone finds their thing: hikers too! I can't think of a better place in the area, or they are closed. But this place is eternal!

Our most powerful national symbol, the monumental Turul Monument - in Tatabánya, from where the view is also perfect.

This lake in Tata is less well known, although it is more atmospheric and shady than the Old Lake. It was created by damming, and there is a very nice park around it. It also has a small island with a wooden bridge. If you don't like crowds, this lake and its surroundings are the best choice.

An artificial fishing lake with nice little benches. The Eurovelo 6 international bicycle route passes by it.

The best restaurant in the area! Traditional Hungarian cuisine, in a new guise. It has a large capacity, a terrace, very pleasant in summer. The prices are acceptable, and the quality has remained unchanged for years. It is a special pleasure to find it next to the international bike path. Accommodation can also be booked. It can be a perfect starting point for exploring the area. It is 2 km from Oroszlány.
