This is an excellent park with paved biking and hiking trails, a botanic garden, and numerous pavilions from which you can enjoy the views and stop along your ride.

Treasure Island Beach is a sandy beach and is a popular spot for swimming, diving, tide pooling, and skimming at the southern end. This beach can get crowded on weekends and hot summer days. Keep in mind that collecting rocks, shells, or touching marine life and fishing are prohibited.

Good park to drive to for trail access, nice shaded parking areas, restrooms, water fountains. Playground for kids. Roughly half way between St. Pete downtown area and Dunedin. Approximately 12 miles to either destination from Seminole City Park.

I was told this was the only public spot you can fill your water bottle with cold water along the whole Pinellas Trail. That isn’t true, but there aren’t very many.
