At the actual Blumberg Mill, originally built in the 13th century, you'll find a courtyard with utilitarian buildings. Entry is prohibited. A stream babbles merrily by the mill, but this side of the building is only visible from a very oblique angle. Directly opposite is a particularly idyllic pond. A fantastic view! It's a good idea to stop briefly to take a closer look at the mill and pond. The narrow path, flanked by trees and bushes, is also quite charming. The bend in the path is the perfect spot to pause and enjoy the scenery.

A very beautiful former mill. The sails have been missing for some time. The building was recently renovated and converted into a residential building. It is privately owned and therefore not open to the public.

Chorin Monastery – Medieval Splendor in the Schorfheide An absolute highlight for history and architecture fans: Chorin Monastery is an impressive, well-preserved Cistercian abbey from the 13th century and one of the most beautiful examples of North German Brick Gothic. The imposing ruins, nestled in the idyllic landscape of the Schorfheide, make the place a perfect stopover for a hiking or cycling tour. Whether you admire the artistic brick architecture, enjoy the historical atmosphere, or simply let the tranquility of the extensive monastery grounds sink in – Chorin is always worth a detour.
