The Alte Gleistrasse is now a bicycle street, built on a section of the track of the former industrial railway of the Strausberger Eisenbahn between the end of Goethestraße and Elisabethstraße. Work began on September 9, 2024, was completed in April 2025, and officially opened on April 25, 2025. The bicycle street, which cost 1.2 million euros, is 1.3 km long and 4 m wide.
