The park has ample parking, nice green space, and restrooms. The bike path follows the creek here for a ways and is a great scenic path that connects to a number of other routes around Longmount.

As you follow the trail the buildings part and you get a wonderful view of the Front Range over the rural landscape.

The ditch and trail run all the way down 119 toward Boulder, so you can really explore for a ways if you are so inclined. This makes for a great shortcut down the middle of the Niwot Loop. Here White Rock Ditch and the Boulder and Left Hand Ditch overlap.

Somerset Trail is an easy smooth trail that is great for beginners. It's basically an out and back connecting to a small loop, but there are many options to connect this trail to others in the Niwot network.
