This is an easy wide dirt path that takes you from Little Gulch along the creek to Dunafon Castle. There are numerous trail offshoots by Lair O' The Bear Park, which has additional parking along the trail if you are heading westward and want to cut some distance off of your run.

You get sweeping views of Red Rocks, the ridgeline, and Denver the higher you climb. The path is a fairly easy dirt singletrack that is exposed to the sun the whole way. The Castle Trail runs the full length of Mount Falcon Park and takes you by multiple ruins.

Directly to the east you can see the long back of Dinosaur Ridge (also Dakota Ridge), so named for the dinosaur tracks found on its far side.
