Free to the public. Large park, which is relatively quite even though surrounded by the suburbs. Good for general hiking, walking with dogs, and trail running. If traveling alone make sure to make plenty of noise as there is quite a bit of wildlife which depending on the year could include mountain lions, coyotes, lynxes, and bears.

Beware Of Geese, great spot to relax with some shade. It's a very heavily traveled trail so keep speeds down if biking.

Balanced Rock is a huge, 700-ton boulder perched on a small pedestal just off of the main Garden of the Gods Road. Don't expect to be here alone, however. There is a small parking area for this famous rock, and there are frequently crowds of people scrambling up to it to take photos.
