Wonderfully soft sand and water that only gets deeper slowly. Quite cool though, the Pacific doesn't warm up as quickly as the Baltic Sea. The infrastructure is very good, everything you need is there.

The Manhattan Beach pier is 928 feet long and located at the southern end of the world-famous Manhattan Beach. There is fishing off of the pier, benches to take in the views and watch surfers, and the Roundhouse Aquarium.
