Stretching over 1,200 feet, it is the 16th longest pier in California. Cycling is permitted on the pier; however, you may want to park your bike, take a stroll and enjoy the view.

The views from the bridge are fantastic looking both way, where you can see the lake and river feeding into it. Keep your eye out for people fishing on the shores too.

A lovely stretch of traffic free bike path with panoramic views of the beach and Pacific Ocean. Please be courteous of other users of the path.

Pismo Beach is located south of San Luis Obispo. It stretches over 360 meters and is very popular with surfers. The immense wooden pontoon and the sign in large red letters are its distinctive feature. The beach is very popular and often crowded. Further south, you will find deserted stretches of beach, and others which are accessible to motorized vehicles and which I do not recommend. You will also find an absolutely incredible monarch butterfly sanctuary there.
