The most striking feature is the massive, medieval west tower made of quarry stone. It looks almost like a defensive tower and probably dates back to the 15th century. The current main building is significantly younger than the tower. It was rebuilt around 1872 to 1874 in the neo-Gothic style using brick, as the previous building had become too small for the growing community.
