Oh well... I gave it a chance and thought it wouldn't be that bad. But unfortunately.... Nooooo. I can only agree, I see a lot of money that was invested, but then nobody wanted to take care of it anymore? Kind of sad, I would have liked it. Everything is dried up, nothing is blooming, a desolate place in early May (!) At least there are toilets and the café was open today, on a sunny Saturday, for 2 hours.

Looks brand new and yet already very unloved/unkempt. I had hoped for much more.

The yellow cycle bridge on the Ruhr Valley Cycle Path connects Wandhofen and Ergste; a very beautiful route with a great view of the Ruhr River.

Klimagarten Schwerte Wandhofen, a garden in the name of the climate. There are walking paths (including a raised wooden walkway), a pond, a small house, and even toilets on site. Lots to see and a lot of money has been spent. If you want to see where your tax money has gone, then come visit the Klimagarten Wandhofen.
