The Süsel Water Ski & Wakeboard Park, with its three 5-mast lifts, a System 2.0, and a total of 14 features, is one of the largest wake parks in Germany and offers a lot of fun for pros and beginners. Directly connected to the facility, there is a nice campsite with lodges right on the lake. It's only five kilometers to the Haffkrug/ Scharbeutz Baltic Sea beach, and Lübeck is also just a stone's throw away. So, head to Süsel…

The Gleschendorf church, just over 750 years old, is a gem. Not only from the outside, but also from the inside. The paintings are particularly exciting because, to a large extent, they are not of a sacred nature, but depict plants, fruits, and birds of the region with their Latin names.

Wonderful little gem of a church! Definitely go inside too, especially the paintings of local plants and birds including the Latin name are fascinating and unknown to me from any other church!

Well-maintained wooden bridges, where people can easily pass each other, are definitely a highlight for me, unlike metal bridges that rattle when you walk on them or pinch dog paws.
