The bench is located on my regular route - I recently cleared it a bit ✂️👍. In the beautiful Goldbachtal you can take a short break on your way there or back and enjoy nature despite the cars that often turn there 🧔🏻♂️🤗😊.

Leubnitz Castle, located not far from Plauen, was built in 1794 by Captain Heinrich Wilhelm von Kospoth as an early neoclassical residential palace. It was owned by the von Kospoth family until 1945, when it was expropriated as part of the land reform. The building has since been renovated and is open to visitors again. It is owned by the municipality of Rosenbach/Vogtl. The Friends of Leubnitz Castle Association manages its day-to-day operations. The permanent exhibition "Nature and Hunting" offers a diverse range of exhibits, providing an experience for young and old. Children, in particular, can learn about the local flora and fauna using all their senses in the "Nature Learning Center." Probably built around 1350. Rebuilt in 1695. Completely rebuilt in 1820 after a fire. The current organ dates from 1925. The church underwent extensive renovations inside and out in 2005. It is open daily from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m.

From Knau to Pothen, the only way is via a detour. The direct route (up Knau Hill, at the very end on the left) is impassable after 2.5 km. As of June 18, 2025. Instead, you turn right and have to walk about 3 km through the forest – beautiful in itself, but with a racing bike, it's a bit of a worry.

"Today, the castle represents a focal point of cultural life in the West Vogtland town of Pausa-Mühltroff in the Mühltroff district. It was built as a lowland castle on a greenstone cliff. The castle's architectural gem is the medieval defense and watchtower. Also worth seeing is the "Black Kitchen." This old castle kitchen boasts one of the largest chimneys in the Saxon castle landscape, measuring approximately 21.5 meters. The castle houses a variety of club, event, and exhibition spaces, such as: The crank embroidery and jacquard weaving demonstration workshops The Eschke company exhibition The local history rooms The Vogtland costume association's traditional costume exhibition The art gallery with the MOMENTmal! exhibition The Rudolf Hirschberger Cabinet The "Memories of Mühltroff" exhibition Various events of different genres also take place. Individual tours from the cellar to the roof are also available outside of regular events by appointment." - https://www.schloss-muehltroff.de/
