Friederikenhof was a farmstead for a long time, meaning it was not managed and farmed by the main Weissenhaus estate. Ernst Franz Graf von Platen Hallermund, the son of the purchaser of Weissenhaus, founded Friederikenhof in 1789 and named the farm after his wife Friederike, née Freiin von Münster. Today, you can take riding holidays at the farm. The farm is axially symmetrical, meaning that the manor house, built in 1789, has two large outbuildings attached to it. This farm complex is typical of East Holstein. A beautiful complex worth visiting; you don't have to stop at the gate.
