On Sunday evening, 17 January 1943, an English Halifax bomber W 7886.TL-C and its 7-man crew from the R.A.F.'s 35th Scout Squadron were on their way to Berlin. The aircraft was one of a group of 170 Lancaster bombers and 17 Halifaxes. Along the way, the machine had engine difficulties and had to turn around. On the return trip it was attacked by a German night fighter from Karup and crashed at Mørkholtgård in Sdr. Stenderup between 9:30 and 10 p.m. More info.: https://koldingwiki.dk/index.php?title=Engelsk_flyver_i_Sdr._Stenderup
