July 10, 2026, Bridge over Rivière Jean-Venne

Quiet and rarely crowded, this bridge over the Jean-Venne River is a lovely place to linger and let nature take over. The river begins close by, flowing from Lac des Îles before winding through Entrelacs and a chain of peaceful lakes on its way to the Ouareau River.

At the top of Pic Vert, you get a beautiful 180-degree view of Baie du Village and Lac des Îles, and the few islands of the lakes. There are a couple of benches, so you can sit and linger for a while or bring some food for a picnic. The trail up here has a bit of elevation gain, but it is still a very easy path overall.
